John Draper, 65, of the Draper Community, passed away on Monday June 17, 2013, at Mercy Health Center in Hot Springs. He was born February 13, 1948 in Malvern the son of Murry Lance and Dorothy Marie (Walton) Draper. John had worked in auto body repair for 45 years most recently with Gordy's Collision Repair. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. John loved to hunt and garden selling his produce from his truck. He was preceded in death by his parents.
John is survived by his wife, Helen (Westbrook) Draper, whom he married May 28, 1976; two sons, Wesley Draper of Malvern and James Draper (Sonjia); one brother, Tommy Draper; one sister, Darlene Westbrook (John) all of the Draper Community; one granddaughter, Judy Draper, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 18, from 6:00-8:00p.m. at Regency Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 2:00p.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Brother Alex Skinner officiating. Pallbearers will be Avery Skinner, Josh Zuber, Joseph Draper, and Zach Skinner, Sanford Nix and Doug Kratz.
