U.S. VeteranAutrey (A.L.) Hightower," The Honey Man" 84, of Malvern passed away April 21, 2012, at HSC Medical Center. He was born June 6, 1927, in Malvern, the son of O.A and Annie (Albey) Hightower. He served in the U.S Army in WWII and then help form the National Guard in HSC., was a machinist for Reynolds Metal for many years.

Autrey founded with his wife in 1957, Autrey's Honey Farm known worldwide. Autrey help found and was first president of the HSC Bee Keepers Association, was a well known beekeeper, and was always giving away his honey bears to waitresses, doctors, nurses, lawyers and strangers.

Autrey was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 62 years, his lifelong sweetheart, Marie (Shell) Hightower, to whom he married April 29, 1944, and preceded him in October of 2006. Also preceding him were great-granddaughter Hannah Grace, brother, David Hightower, SR., sister, Irene Rambo.

Survivors are son, Sammy Hightower (Kathy), two daughters, Janet Otts (Billy) all of Malvern, Rita Dixson (Emmett Sr.), of Traskwood, six grandchildren, Michael and Wesley Hightower, Jeff Otts (Sonya,) Julie Orr (Kyle), Holly Carr (Kevin), Chris Golden (Brianna); eight great-grandchildren, Koty Hightower (Kenya), Jessica Hightower, Garrett and Laekyn Otts, Kylie Orr, Audrey Carr, John and Daniel Golden; one great-great grandson Bentley Lucas Blair; five step-grandchildren, Melissa Caple, Angela Petty (Ryan), Emmett Dixson, Jr., Sheila Carter, Keith Dixson (Penny); ten step-great grandchildren, Colburn Caple, Hannah and Haley Petty, Ashley, Brandon, and Michael Dixson, Beau Icenhower, Faith, Destiny, and Noah Dixson; step great-great grandson, Lane Icenhower. Two brothers, Eudale Hightower of Malvern and Verlin Hightower of Tulsa; three sisters, Eunice Bullock of Oklahoma, Grace Hall and Mary Hickman both of Malvern.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 24 from 6PM to 8PM at Regency.
Funeral will be 10AM Wednesday, April 25, in the Regency Chapel with Brothers Jimmy Bobo and Chuck Shryock officiating.
Burial will follow in the Big Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.

The Family will be at Janet Otts home at 6364 Sulphur Springs Road in Malvern.
