Allen Ray Earnest, 70, of Traskwood passed away Friday, May 5, 2023 at his home. He was born December 6, 1952, in Malvern, the son of the late Ray Barnett and Addie Mae Buie Earnest. Allen graduated in 1971 from Prattsville. He worked at a forklift driver at Fox & Son. He enjoyed doing arts and crafts, sewing, fishing and stock car races. Allen attended Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, whom he married on September 2, 1976, Wanda Lee Hardin Earnest; brother, Junior Earnest; brother-in-law, Arnold Baker; nephew, Daniel Earnest; great nephew, Kyle Ray and great niece, Ivy Neal.

Survivors, daughter, LaTonya Hayslip (Ben); grandchildren, Dillon Rutherford and Sierra Hayslip; great granddaughter, Scarlet Burden; brothers, Gene Earnest (Louise), Marion Earnest (Sandy) and Mickey Earnest (Karen); sisters, Louise Baker and Mary Cupit (Kenneth); his little dog, Cuddles and a large host of nieces and nephew, great nieces and great nephews and friends.

Services will be on Friday, May 12 at 2:30pm at Regency Funeral Home with Brother Jeremy Hudson and Brother Neal Hollinger officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Traskwood Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Steve Bailey, Timothy Bailey, Hunter Ray, Gene Bailey, Mickey Earnest, Rickey Earnest and Bobby Bourland. Honorary pallbearer will be George Wilson.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Regency Funeral Home to help the family with funeral expenses.
