Anita Ruth Young Hynds, age 86, of Little Rock formerly of Malvern, passed away Wednesday October 9, 2024, at Baptist Health-Little Rock. She was born September 4, 1938, in Arkansas City, Kansas the daughter of Lester and Irene Walworth Young where she had many fond memories of growing up on the family farm. Anita was a homemaker, loved reading, hallmark movies, trivia, but especially spending time with her family, and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 56 years, Eugene Clark Hynds, son, Eugene Clark Hynds Jr., and sisters, Barbara Nolan and Janice Peebles.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Denise Davis (Bill) of Story, AR, Russell Hynds (Melinda) of Antioch Community, Cheryl Erwin of Brandon MS., and Darin Hynds of Hugo OK., siblings, Beverly Pendergrass (Dudley) of Canton, TX., Dorothy Ross of Coffeyville, KS., Charles Young of Longview, TX., and Loren Young (Donna) of Bartlesville, OK., grandchildren, Chris Strawn, Melissa McPherson (Rick), Carrie Mabry (Justin), Mike Erwin, Benjamin Hynds, Rachel Lambert (Patrick), great-grandchildren, Vanessa, Hunter, Preston, AnnaGrace, Joseph (Summer), Audrey, Jackson, Jordan, and Len, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday October 14, from 1pm until 2pm at Regency Funeral Home.

Funeral services will begin at 2PM in the Chapel with Brothers Scott Patton and Alan Cansler officiating. Burial will follow at Rockport Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers are Rick, Hunter, Preston, Russell, Darin, and Benjamin. Honorary Pallbearers are Chris Strawn, Mike Erwin, and Bill Davis.
