Ava Lynn Thornberry, age 7, of Malvern, passed away Friday, August 29, 2025 at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock. She was born on June 25, 2018 in Little Rock to Scott and Makyla Thornberry. Ava came into this world fighting and never gave up. Her life wasn't easy, but you never know it looking at her. She was the happiest and sassiest girl you'd ever meet. She was the strongest and bravest girl in the world. Ava loved her favorite people, horse therapy with her favorite horse, Cowboy, looking at herself in the mirror, all the lights and swimming.

Left to cherish her memory are her parents; brother, Ryat Thornberry; Pawpaw and Grammy, Max and Carol McDougal of Magnet Cove; Papaw and Mamaw, Lonnie and Janice Thornberry of Benton; Aunt Mae, Magan (Justin) Marcum of Magnet Cove; Aunts, Chelsey (Dylan) Wylie of Mountain Pine, Kathryn Thornberry, Samantha Thornberry and Lacy Thornberry of Benton; Uncles, Dakotah Hassan of Prattsville, Jacob Thornberry and Colton Thornberry of Benton; Cousins, Emma Miles, Hunter Miles, Luke Wylie, Natalie Wylie, Jade Marcum, Briar Marcum; numerous great grandparents, great aunts, great uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Raymond and Nancy Smither, Larry McDougal and Jean Farner.

Visitation will be 6-8 PM Tuesday, September 2nd at Regency Funeral Home. Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 3rd at Regency Funeral Home with Brother Bobby Goodknight officiating. Burial will follow ay Lindsey-Poyen Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Keith Nichols, Zach Klein, Jacob Thornberry and Colton Thornberry.

Special thanks to Arkansas Children's Hospital for the amazing care given our girl received her entire life. Also to New Hope Therapy for our loving girl.
