Obituary

Barbara Branum Bailey, age 76, of Malvern passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Baptist Health Medical Center-HSC.  She was born at home September 23, 1945, in Kingston, TN the daughter of the late Luther Branum and Mary Lee Miles Branum.  Barbara graduated from Malvern High School in 1964 and was the homecoming queen. After graduation, she attended beauty school and graduated at the top of her class.  Barbara worked at numerous beauty shops around town.  She loved to bake pies, do floral arrangements, was very artistic and loved traveling out west.  She was the historian of her family and was proud of her Cherokee heritage. She was a member of Social Hill Baptist Church. Barbara was a beautiful lady and will be missed.  Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her step-father, Jake Schales; brother, Bobby Branum who served in the United States Marine Corp.

Survivors, husband, Ray Bailey of Malvern; son, Brett Cheatham (Cari) of Glen Rose; daughter, Angela Cheatham Jones of Malvern; brothers, Eugene Branum (Linda) of Estill Springs, TN and Arnold Branum (Wanda) of Malvern; sisters, Dorothy Sealy of Hot Springs, Vivian Hickman (Arnis) of Malvern, Martha Huggins (Charles) of Cordova, TN, Faye Williams (Jack) of Malvern, Zola Brandon (Ronnie) of Malvern and Deloris Allen of Malvern; grandchildren, Leah Nix, James Cheatham (Brittany), Paige Jones, Jace Cheatham, Matthew Jones and Hayden Jones; great grandchildren, Hadlee Vaughn and Jameson Cheatham and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 19 from 6:00-8:00pm at Regency Funeral Home.

Services will be Thursday, January 20 at 10:00am at Regency Funeral Home with Brother Thomy Green officiating. Burial will follow at Harp Cemetery.

Pallbearers are James and Jace Cheatham, Jordan Vaughn, Lee and Bobby Brandon, and Brian Branum.
