Barbara Draper, known to many as nurse or Nurse Draper, was born April 26, 1945 and passed away April 16, 2026.

Barbara was a longtime member of St. Paul Methodist Church where she was instrumental in starting the "Young Couples" Sunday School class.  The group still meets and calls themselves the "Young Couples" even though they are in their 60's and 70's.  She was a first responder and worked with the Lono Rolla Fire Department.  She also spent many years as an employee of the Malvern School District as the school nurse.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Draper; her parents, David and Alice B. Williams; her sisters ,Milrene and Glendene; and niece Vicki Gray.

She is survived by daughter, Michelle Shuffield and husband Shawn; son, Donnie Draper and wife Brandy; grandchildren, Laci and husband Austin Prince, Riley and wife Madison Shuffield, Chloe and husband Will Smith, and Dawson Draper; great-grandchild Marney Prince; sisters, Opal Cox and Linda Chandler; sister-in-law, Mary Draper; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 18, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Regency Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be Sunday, April 19, at 2:00 PM, at Regency Funeral Home with Rev. Andrew Orr officiating.  Burial to follow at Hunter's Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dawson Draper, Randy Cox, Riley Shuffield, Kyle Chandler, Austin Prince, and David Cox.

Honorary Pallbearers are Will Smith, Matt Kriigel, Michael Chastain, and Kevin Hopkins.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul Methodist Church or to Hunter's Chapel Cemetery.
