Beth Hood, age 83, of Malvern, AR, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2025. She was born on January 23, 1942 in Malvern, AR, the daughter of Webster and Zella Price Allen. She was a 1959 graduate of Poyen High School and was a store keeper with AP&L from 1979 until retirement in 2001. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, where she was big part of the Joy Fellowship- Christmas for Nursing Homes. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, shopping and traveling, and loved animals. Most of all, she loved to read. Beth was also known for her feisty sense of humor.

Beth is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 42 years, Walter Hood; brother, Don Allen; and sisters, Novalene Callahan and Veldene Jester.

Left to cherish her memory, her children, Darla Henderson of Malvern, Don Pence (Olivia) of Malvern, Libby Slatton (Jeffrey) of Hot Springs, and step-son, Greg Hood of Ashville, OH; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th from 10-11am at Trinity Baptist Church, with the funeral service starting at 11am, with Bro. Tim Carpenter officiating. Burial to follow at Big Creek Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Rodney Allen, Chris Allen, Matt Allen, Tad Dunn, Cody Dunn, and Bob Ramsey.

Honorary Pallbearers are Larry Jester, Gary Bridges, Randy Faulkner, Ronnie Faulkner, and Eugene Harper.
