Billy Joe Otts, age 78 of Malvern passed away Friday January 2, 2026 at his home. He was born February 10, 1947 in Malvern the son Ollie F. and Connie Hiatt Otts. He was a 1964 honor graduate of Poyen High School, served in the Arkansas National Guard, and retired from General Cable in February 2017.

Bill was a faithful member and deacon of First Assembly of God Church, Malvern. He loved to hunt and fish in his younger years, very involved in his church family, and took much pride in his yard work, loved to cook for his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother David Otts.

Survivors are his wife of 58 years, to whom he married November 24, 1967, Janet Hightower Otts, his children, Jeff Otts (Sonya) of Malvern, Julie Orr (Kyle) of Lono, grandchildren Garrett Otts (Courtney) of Centerton, Laekyn Lane of NLR, and Kylie Sulton (Braxton) of Lono, step grandchildren, Justin Verwey  and Allison Martin (Ben) both of Hot Springs, great-grandchildren, Kaelyn Lane, Billie Sulton, step great-grandchildren, Kavion Johnson and Ryker Martin, nieces and nephews, Michael Hightower, Wesley Hightower, Holly Carr, Chris Golden, and Michael Otts, special great nephew, Mason Carr, brother-in-law and wife, Sammy and Kathy Hightower, sister-in-law and husband Rita Dixson and Emmett Sr., and numerous other great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Tuesday January 6, from 6PM until 8PM at Regency Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be 2PM Wednesday January 7 at First Assembly of God Church with Reverends Matt Crutchfield and Jimmy Bobo officiating. Burial will follow in Big Creek Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Garrett Otts, Michael Hightower, Wesley Hightower, Chris Golden, Kevin Carr, Braxton Sulton and Tony Jenkins. Honorary Pallbearers are Deacons of First Assembly of God.
