Bonnie
Jeter
Jul 15, 1945 — Dec 10, 2021
Tomball
Bonnie Elouise Jones Jeter, age 76, passed away peacefully and comfortably on December 10, 2021 in her home in Tomball, Texas. Bonnie was born on July 15, 1945 in Exeter, California, the youngest daughter of the late Virgil and Merle (Harris) Jones.
She last worked at Fabco in Springfield, Tennessee for many years until she retired. Bonnie was an avid watcher of the Houston Texans football team and a devoted fan of their former player, JJ Watt. She very much loved to shop and spend time with her family. Bonnie was a caring mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. She spent much of her time with her neighbors, Rebecca and Erlin Fernandez, and considered their children, Alan Saunders, and Rozlin and Yessenia Fernandez, like her own grandchildren. They even called her "Mimi", like her own granddaughters did. She loved them dearly and will be truly missed by them.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Barbara Ann Turner of Malvern, her stepsons, Jonathan Russell Jeter of Pittsburg, Texas, and Jesse Lee Jeter IV; and her husband, Jesse Lee Jeter III of Tomball, Texas, formally of Malvern. Bonnie and Jesse were married on March 25, 1984.
Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Laurie Turner Strutz of Tomball, and her husband, Michael Strutz. Laurie was Bonnie's only daughter whom she had with her first husband, Willard Gene Turner of Kirby. She is also survived by her brother, Virgil F. Jones and his wife, Linda, of Springport, Indiana; her granddaughters, Kasie, Kenady, and Karlee Strutz; her late husband's grandson, Gentry Jeter of Pittsburg, Texas; her niece who was like a daughter to her, Thresa Turner Hunter of Malvern; and many other nieces, nephews, and extended family members whom she loved very much.
Bonnie's wishes were to have a graveside service but due to possible inclement weather, a short service will be held at Regency Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 1:00pm.
Arrangements are by Regency Funeral Home. You may sign the guest book at regencyfuneralhome.com.
