Brook Hillary Nix, age 26, of Benton passed away January 1, 2022.   She was born April 19, 1995 in Hot Springs, Arkansas, to Paul Nix and Melissa Bennett McKim.  Brook was a 2013 graduate of Ouachita High School and a 2018 graduate of Henderson State University with a major in Physics and a minor in Engineering.  Brook was very open-minded and kind-hearted and she lit up every room she walked in. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Charles W Bennett, Jr., and uncle, Michael Woodall.

Survivors include her father, Paul Nix of Donaldson; mother, Melissa Bennett McKim (Raymond) of Donaldson; brother, Colt Nix of Donaldson; sister, Abbie Nix (Darion) of Donaldson; step-brothers, Jason McKim (Trish) of Donaldson and Landon McKim (Jeanni) of Malvern; step-sister, Madison Schultz (Tyler) of Donaldson; niece, Rylee Mae; nephews, Caden, Jace, Matthew and Waylon; paternal grandparents, Burrell and Sonya Nix; maternal grandmother, Joy Hardage; step-grandparents, Ruth and Alton McKim; uncles, Tony Nix (Tina), Josh Bennett (Chey), Billy Bennett (Katie), Jerry Don McKim; aunts, Kristie Geer (Jackie) and Debbie Merchant (Carl); cousin, Dawsen Woodall who cherishes her for introducing him to Rice-a-Roni and many, many other cousins, friends and co-workers.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 5 from 6:00-8:00pm at Regency Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be Thursday, January 6 at 11:00am at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Donaldson with Brother Joey McDermott and Brother Milton Paredes officiating. Pallbearers will be Korey Geer, Dustin Nix, Billy Bennett, Josh Bennett, Dawson Woodall and Ryan Woodall.  Honorary pallbearer will be David "Papaw" Stafford.

In lieu of flowers, a College Savings Account has been set up for her niece, Rylee Mae Weaver, at Bank OZK in Malvern.   Rylee Mae meant everything to Brook and nothing would please her more than to know that she had a part in helping Rylee go to college.
