Buster Daniel Hendrix went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 4, 2021. Buster was born in Hot Spring County on November 3, 1927. He was the son of John and Ora Pierce Hendrix. Buster was a combat Army Veteran in the Korean War. He retired from Reynolds Chemical Plant at Bauxite.

Buster was preceded in death by his wife of 19 years, Betty Rogers Brown Hendrix; his parents, two infant sisters; brothers, Earl and Elmo Hendrix and sister, Betty Hendrix Fitzhugh.   His wives, Lois Retherford Cain Hendrix and Jean Neighbors Golden Hendrix also preceded him in death.

Survivors include step-sons, Don Brown (Gatha) and David Brown (Charity); brother, Dale Hendrix and grandchildren, Kristi Dannelley (Scott), Kevin Brown (Reagan), Ryan Brown (Nichole) Mary Lee Grant (Dennis); step-children, Paul Golden and Resa Rose; along with six great-grandchildren, one nephew and seven nieces.

Buster was a fine man in every sense and set a stellar example of faith, devotion, love and perseverance. He was a skilled craftsman and woodworker and built beautiful things including elaborate grandfather clocks, musical instruments, furniture and even miniature rocking chairs for his grandchildren.  Buster was a devoted family man who lovingly and steadfastly cared for those around him. Mostly importantly, Buster loved the Lord and set a wonderful example of faith in Christ.  He was a dedicated scholar of the Bible and enjoyed sharing the word of God with those around him.

Buster had host of loving Residents and Staff at The Crossing in Malvern, he so enjoyed. He especially enjoyed celebrating his recent 94th Birthday.   A very special thanks to The Crossing and Hospice Home Care for their Love and special care shown to Buster.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 8 at 11:00am at Regency Funeral Home with Brother Mark Thornton officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.  Burial will follow at Lutheran Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Kevin Brown, Scott Dannelley, Alan Hendrix, John Hughes, Todd Norwood, and Troy Norwood. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Jester, William P Mitchell, Frank Murphy, Roger Lederer and Terry Rose.
