Carol Ann Young, age 82, of Malvern, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 10, 2026.  She was born December 16, 1943 in Port Arthur, TX to the late Clarence and Rethal (Roland) Edwards.  She devoted her life to her Lord and her family.  She was a very active member and Sunday School Teacher at Big Creek Missionary Baptist Church. She loved taking care of her family and always had an encouraging word for everyone.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Philip Ellis Young; son, Covin Clark Young; and brothers, Johnny, Charles, and Jerry Edwards.

Survivors include her daughter, Lori Bowman (Wade) of Cameron, NC; son, Marty Young (Dorothy) of Antioch; brother, Allen (Lynn) Edwards; grandchildren, Kristie, Darren, Holly, Daniel, Cassie (John), Abby, and Carly; numerous great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, June 15, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Regency Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be Tuesday, June 16, at 10:00 AM, at Big Creek Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Mark Thornton and Bro. Chris Morrison officiating. Burial will follow at Big Creek Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Nick Burrow, John "Caleb" Masters, John Bates, Cory Hart, Josh Masters, and Ron Albey.
