Obituary

Cathy Bailey Meyer, age 71, of the Reyburn Community in Malvern, passed away Monday, June 8, at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock.  She was born January 3, 1955, to the late Raymond R. and Carolyn Grace (Smith) Bailey.  She was a truck driver for many years and was a member of Big Creek Missionary Baptist Church.  Some of her many hobbies included playing Bunco, riding horses, going on cruises, and playing the slots.  She also loved to do interior decorating.  Her favorite pastime was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Darrell Meyer; and grandson, Austin Pierce.

Survivors include her sons, Clay Pierce (Malinda) of Poyen, and Brad Pierce (Sandra) of Malvern; grandchildren, William "PeeWee" Pierce (Kelsey), Ronnie Gray (Magali), Nichole Corter (Doug), Hope Boyette, Aiden Pierce and Alexei Pierce; special friend, Alton Tankersley of DeRoche;  brothers, Russell Bailey (Linda) and Roy Bailey (Jamie) all of Malvern; sisters, Marie Efird (Carl) of Malvern and Cindy Carruth (Ralph) of Diamondhead, as well as numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 11, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Regency Funeral Home.

Graveside Services will be Friday, June 12, at 10:00 AM, at Shadowlawn Cemetery with Bro. Scott Efird officiating.

Pallbearers will be Tim Efird, Ray Bailey, Ronnie Gray, Sam Gill, Scott Efird, Jayden Cogburn, Riley Smith, and Danny Bailey.
