Charles John "Jack" Grano, 84, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2025. Born on November 14, 1941, in Gainesville, Georgia, Jack was the beloved son of Charles X. Grano and Alba Caporiccio Grano.

Jack grew up with a strong sense of family and service. He graduated from Crossett High School and briefly attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville before being drafted into the United States Army in 1966. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War, achieving the rank of Sergeant. For his dedication and bravery, Jack was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service and "Thank You" medals, the Air Medal, and the Combat Infantryman Badge. He was honorably discharged in 1968.

Following his military service, Jack built a long and successful career in traveling sales and as a general manager for several mill supply companies. Known for his work ethic, leadership, and ability to connect with others, he earned the respect of colleagues and customers throughout his professional life.

On June 16, 1989, Jack married the love of his life, Kathryn Wylie Green. They shared many years together until her passing. Jack was also preceded in death by his parents; his sisters Sylvia Howard of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Latitia Landers of San Jose, California; his brother-in-law John Rouse; an infant son; and his wife, Kathryn.

Jack leaves behind his stepdaughter Shelly (JR) Hathcock of Malvern; his step-grandson Jason (Taylor) Hathcock of Dewitt; his step-granddaughter Alicia (Eric) Waldroff of Malvern; his step great-grandsons Zane, Canton, and Dallas Hathcock; and his step great-granddaughter Hattie Waldroff. He is also survived by his devoted sister, Stella Rouse of Bakersville, California, and his brother-in-law Tom Howard of Fayetteville, Arkansas along with many nieces and nephews.

Jack will be remembered for his affection for animals and his lifelong love of music. Jack will also be remembered for his quick wit and playful spirit. A natural jokester, he delighted friends and family with clever rhymes, riddles, and one-liners that will be remembered by all who knew him.

Memorial services will be held at Regency Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. Visitation will begin at 5:30 p.m., with a memorial service to follow at 6:00 p.m., officiated by Mike McGhee, lifelong friend and coworker. The family would like to extend special thanks to the VA caregivers, Arkansas Hospice, Supreme Team Caregivers, and Southern Caregivers for their compassion, support, and devoted care. In lieu of flowers, Jack would request that memorials be made to an animal rescue organization of your choice.
