Charles F. Hughes, age 89, of Donaldson, AR, passed away on November 5, 2023. He was born on March 20, 1934, in Gravesville, AR, the son of Greenland Franklin (Frank) and Eva Jane Holland Hughes. Charles enjoyed hunting, riding horses, working mules, and hunting dogs. He also worked in the timber industry and was of the Baptist faith.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, wife of 54 years, Margaret Hughes; brothers, Julius, Jason, and Toy Hughes; son in-law, Bruce Cunningham; sisters, Eula Mae Rook, Erma Dee Green, Velva George, Verdie Luten, and Eloise Davis.

Left to cherish in his memory, daughter, Rita Ann Cunningham of Star City; sons, Dr. Ricky Hughes (Myra) of Donaldson, Dean Hughes (Kerrie) of Waterville, MN, Allen Hughes (Sharon) of Poyen, and Jeff Hughes of Donaldson; grandchildren, Brent Cunningham, Kevin Cunningham (Felicia Woodall), Melissa Cherry (Alan) Janna Hughes, Bradley Hughes (Jill), Justin Heath Hughes (Jennifer), Hayley Hughes, Cody A. Hughes (Alisha), Johnnie Hughes, Katie Hughes, and Paige Duke; twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be on Tuesday November 7th from 6-8pm at Regency Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held on Wednesday, November 8th at 2pm, at Regency Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Rickey Poynor and Bro. Carroll Koon officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Heath Hughes, Brent Cunningham, Bradley Hughes, Kevin Cunningham, Cody Hughes, Johnnie Hughes, and Alan Cherry.

Honorary pallbearers are Randy Groomes, Marvin McDaniel, Marvin McDade, Mike Lawrence, Garrett Cherry, and Caden Cherry.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pleasant Hill Cemetery Fund.
