Charles Wayne Mathis, age 71, of Malvern, passed away Monday, January 19, peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. He was born October 12, 1954 to the late Horace and Effie (Goodwin) Mathis.  He worked for 15 years at Aluminum Alloys.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and attending his grandsons' ballgames.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Alvin and Mike Mathis.

Survivors include his wife, Linda G. Mathis; daughters, Amie Martin and Amy Mathis Graves; son, Adam Mathis (Erica); sisters, Venita Seow and Nita Glenn; brother-in-law Jerry Patrick;  grandchildren, Hunter Martin (Hannah) and Heath Martin (Shelby), Dylan Kelley (Holly), Devin Kelly, Austin, Justin (Ella), and Caleb Mathis; great-grandchildren, Jayce and Chloe Martin; special nieces, Amanda Patrick, Shannon King, Shanita Seow, and  Mollie Blain; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
