Charles E. Sled, age 89 of Malvern, passed away in the early morning at his home on May 16th, 2025.
He was born April 2, 1936, the son of Willie and Ethel Daily Sled. Charles was a Veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Reynolds Metal (Alcoa). He was a member of Second Baptist Church. His favorite thing to do was to go fishing at Lake DeGray.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Ethel Sled and sister, Mayo Mobley.
He is survived by Pat Sled, his wife of 60 years; daughter Teresa Tate, son Steven
Sled (Angela); four grandchildren, Tiffany Williams, Tamara Cox, Lacey Kettell (Brandon) and Cole Sled (Emily); seven great grandchildren, Caleb Williams, Landon Williams, Rebecca Cox, Raylen Cox, Austin Cox, Kennedy Kettell, and Landry Sled; one future great-grandchild, Harper Kettell.
A graveside service will be held Monday May 19, 2025 at 10AM at Rockport Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Brothers Joey McDermott and John Chandler officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Second Baptist Church, Mission Fund-Peru, 210 W. Mill St. Malvern.
