Cheryl Kay Gassman- Dawson, age 71, of Malvern, passed away Tuesday October 21, 2025 in Hot Springs.  She was born February 22, 1954 to Glenn A. Gassman and Vivian E. Stearla Gassman.  She was a member of Butterfield Missionary Baptist Church.  Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Dale Gassman and Kirk Gassman and her grandson Connor Cox.  She was an avid softball player for many years and most recently worked at Diamondhead Country Club.

She is survived by her loving husband Leonard R. Dawson to whom she married on August 1, 1976, her children: Lee Underwood (Jill), Kyle Len Dawson, and Matthew Ray Dawson, three grandsons: A. Underwood, Eli Dawson, and Ty Dawson, two granddaughters: Kori and Kaleigh Dawson, one great grandson Wayne Dawson, one brother Glenn Gassman Jr., and a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will be Thursday October 23, 2025 in the Regency Funeral Home Chapel at 4:00 PM.

Honorary Pallbearers are Garner Gassman, Eli Dawson, Gill Gassman, Aubrey Underwood, Adam Harper, and Gary Howard.

In Lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice 508 Ouachita Ave. #A , Hot Springs, AR  71901.
