Chris Jackson, age 53, of Antioch, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday October 21, 2025.  He was born in Malvern on November 19, 1971 to Henry Alvin and Mary Sue (Hodges) Jackson. He was a member of Caney Missionary Baptist Church. Preceding him in death are his father, grandparents Roy and Roberta Hodges and Curtis and Pearl Jackson, brother-in-law Doug Lawrence, and niece Samantha Jackson.

He was a locomotive electrician for Union Pacific for many years.  While most knew him as "Chris", his coworkers only knew him as "Leaner".  He was a member of Nolan Hill Hunting Club.  He enjoyed many outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, gardening, and riding his side-by-side.  He also loved to travel and spending time with his loving wife Melanie, whom he married on March 20, 2004, and his children and grandchildren. Chris was an avid sports fan and many hours "coaching from the sofa". He enjoyed working out with Connor, playing pool, and was always ready to lend a helping hand to others in need.

He is survived by his wife, mother Mary Sue (Maw) Jackson, sons Alec Crow and Connor Jackson, daughters Samantha Crow and Spenser Teague, brother Tommy Jackson (Robin), sister Lisa Lawrence, grandchildren Crystalyn Jewel, and Remi Dawn, and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends who will all miss him dearly.

Memorial Services will be on Sunday October 26, 2025 at 5:00PM at Caney Missionary Baptist Church in Bismarck with Brothers Ralph Ruffin and Brian Harris. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 5:00PM prior to service.

Honorary loved ones are Cecil Hathcock, Kelton Fowler, Josh Fowler, Larson Fowler, Mark Morgan, Hunter Hathcock, Dustin Lawrence, Grant Hodges, and Tracy Hodges.
