Obituary

Daniel Franklin Beason, 89 of Fort Smith, formerly of Malvern died March 4, 2022.  He was born November 26, 1932 in the Saginaw Community the son of Dewey D. and Eula McDaniel Beason. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, mental health counselor for the Department of Corrections, and a minister.  He was a member of the Geyer Springs Baptist Church in Little Rock where he sang in the Heritage Choir, Hot Spring County Historical Society, and all around handyman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Garland Dewey Beason and sister Florence Lauridsen.

Survivors are his sisters, Deweylene Lewis of Fort Smith, and Eulavene Garrett (husband Mickey) of Malvern, and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation is Wednesday, March 9, from 1-2PM at Regency Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 2PM Wednesday, March 9, in Regency Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Wayne Sanders, Monroe Wheat officiating. Burial will follow in Social Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers are nephews and great-nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Social Hill Cemetery Fund c/o Penny Hall 342 Burks Ln. Malvern.
