David Andrew Holder, age 84, of Malvern, AR, passed away on April 29, 2024, in his home. He was born on December 5, 1939, in Banner, AR, the son of Pharis and Hazel Daily Holder. David was a 1957 graduate of Magnet Cove High School, then joined the US Navy from 1957-1963 and was discharged as a 3rd Class Petty Officer. When he came home, he went to work for Reynolds, then went to Terminix, then went on to become the co-founder and operator of City Termite and Pest Control in 1972 and retired after 35 years in 2006. David was a member of Francois Missionary Baptist Church for over 20 years where he served as a Sunday School teacher. David was a Lions Club member. He also enjoyed fishing many Thursday night fishing tournaments and rabbit hunting.

David is preceded in death by his parents; wife of 59 years, Novella Freeman Holder; and sisters Cleona Scantling and Pat Howerton.

Left to cherish his memory; sons, Johnny Simpson (Liz) of California, David Simpson of Nevada, Robert Holder (Lisa) of Bismarck and Christopher Holder (Sheryl) of Magnet Cove; daughter LeAnne Holder Jackson of Glen Rose; sisters, LoReda Smith of Glenwood, Brenda Holder of Magnet Cove, Peggy Looper of Hot Springs, and Geraldine Weatherford (Curtis) of Pearcy; grandchildren, Tanner Holder (Mary) of Malvern, Taylor McCormick (Josh) of Malvern, Jacob Holder (Jordyn) of Camden, Chance Swayze (Tessa) of Virginia, Lane Jackson of Magnet Cove, Leah Holder of Magnet Cove, LaResa Holder of Bismarck, Cheyenne Wilson of Malvern, Whitney Edwards of Magnet Cove, Derek Edwards of Magnet Cove, and Max Simpson of California; great-grandchildren, Conner and Megan Holder, Daniel and Samuel McCormick, Jaxen and Maddison Lunsford, Emerson Kiesler, Aideen and Archer Sanchez, Cora Russell, Annabelle, Brookelynn and Natalie Holder, Harper Swayze, Kamryn Gale, and Kaylie Canterbury; sisters-in-law, Clois Coots and Myrtle Freeman both of Malvern; numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Tuesday May 7th from 6-8pm at Regency Funeral Home.

A Memorial Service will be on Wednesday May 8th at 10 am at the Regency Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. W.A. Dillard and Bro. Troy Bray officiating. He will be placed with Novella at a later date.

Memorials may be made to Francois Missionary Baptist Church.

David's favorite color is blue, everyone is encouraged to wear blue in support of his family.
