Obituary

Dean E. Prince, 91, of the New DeRoche Community went to his heavenly home on Sunday, January 16, 2022 in Hot Springs.  He was born July 18, 1930, in New DeRoche, the son of the late John William "Will" Prince and Mary Elizabeth "Eliza" Cates Prince.  Dean worked for 37 years with Reynolds Metal Company.  He was a member of New DeRoche Fire Department for many years, where he was an ambulance driver, firefighter and board member.  Dean was also a member of Antioch Assembly of God Church.  He enjoyed being with his family and friends.  Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Edgar Prince (Bessie Mae), Dale Prince (Bernice) and Fagen Prince (Alene), sisters, Lota Mae Hughes (Roy), Florence Collie (Bruce) and Flora Siratt (Marvin); brother-in-law, Clifford Reagan and sister-in-law, Barbara Prince.

Survivors, wife of 65 years, whom he married on May 18, 1956, Christine Velma Reynolds Prince; son, Sherman Prince (Cheryl) of New DeRoche; brother, Preston Prince of Antioch; sister, Helen Reagan of California; grandchildren, Heather and Danny Ragan and Keith Prince; great grandchildren, Dri Prince, Kendra Prince, Rhett Ragan, Caleb Ragan and Dean Prince and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 18 from 5:00-7:00pm at Regency Funeral Home.

Services will be held Wednesday, January 19 at 11:00am at Regency Funeral Home with Brother Alan Cansler officiating.  Burial will follow at Lower Antioch Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Joey Norwood, Dewaine Loy, Heath Loy, Mel Osborn, Clayton Thornton and Nick Frazier. Honorary Pallbearers are Wayne Hughes, Donny Hughes and Randolph Prince.

In Lieu of Flowers memorials may be made to New DeRoche Fire Department or Antioch Cemetery Fund.
