Deborah Lynn (Debbie) Korwes, age 72, of Malvern, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026 at National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs.  She was born October 29, 1953, in Malvern, AR to the late James Emuel and Annie Mae (Hughes) Shinn.  She was a 1971 graduate of Magnet Cove High School and worked as a records supervisor at the Arkansas Department of Corrections Ouachita Unit.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tommy Korwes; grandchild, Kaemon Franklin; brother, James Troy Shinn, and sister, Judy Kay Linam.

Survivors include her children, Beth Annas (Bryan) of Malvern, Christy Franklin (Juno) of Oklahoma City, OK, and Sean Threadgill of Hot Springs; brother, Mickey Shinn (Judith) of Magnet Cove; sister, Shirley Daniel of Magnet Cove; grandchildren, Alix and Catelyn Threadgill, Juno Franklin, Kraig Franklin, Jionni Franklin, Easton Threadgill, and Sienna Threadgill; great-grandchildren, Khalil and Zera; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Magnet Cove Missionary Baptist Church.
