DeNora Van Dusen Dial, age 96, of Plano, TX, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024, in her home. She was born on August 31, 1928, in Malvern, AR, the daughter of Ralph and Alethye Tantlinger Van Dusen. DeNora was a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, TX. She enjoyed gardening, jewelry making, making flower arrangements, and playing bridge. DeNora led Bible studies for several years in her home and ministered to many women who didn't know the Bible. She was the matriarch for the garden club, which she started more than 20 years ago, and was a master judge for competitive flower shows, taught classes on creative flower design and won many awards for her own flower arrangements.

DeNora is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Dial; son, Rick Dial; and her 10 siblings.

Left to cherish her memory, son, John Dial of Plano, TX; daughter Jane Whaley (Dr. Bill) of Blue Ridge, GA; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Dial of Malvern, grandchildren, Cheryl Whaley, Kim Whaley, Cindy Burton, Heather Sanders (Shaun), Allison Whaley, Matthew Dial (Ali), Beth Selph (Mark), Ben Dial (Kara); great-grandchildren, Hallie Todd, Sarah Dial, Annemarie Dial, Emma Dial, Nora Dial, Fletcher Dial, Blake Dial, Shepherd Dial, CeCe Aboaf, Callie Aboaf, JoJo Aboaf, William Burton, Knox Burton, Howard Burton, and Michael Rose; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2nd from 1-2pm at First United Methodist Church of Malvern, with the Funeral Service starting at 2pm.

Burial to follow at Shadowlawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ben Dial, Matthew Dial, Shaun Sanders, Mark Selph, Wesley Folds, and Alex Dawson.
