Dixie Wayne Kyle, 74, of Malvern, Arkansas passed away at his home on December 22, 2022. Dixie was born August 18, 1948, to Johnnie Hoyt Kyle and Katherine Iola McCanless in Poteau, Oklahoma. Dixie was a member of Big Creek Missionary Baptist Church. He retired from the U.S. Army after twenty-four years of service. Dixie was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, two Army Good Conduct Medals, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Military Medal with sixty devices, the Army Commendation Medal, the Bronze Star Medal with three oak leaves, and the Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Medal.

Dixie's sense of humor is well known. Always ready with a joke or a story, Dixie loved nothing more than making others laugh. Dixie was a patriot and true friend to all he knew. He loved motorcycles, Corvettes and many styles of muscle cars.

Dixie is survived by the love of his life, married twenty-five years, Debby Leigh Black Kyle of Malvern. Dixie has one daughter, Christie DeBois (Bill) of Orange, California. He is survived by his brother Charles Robert Kyle of Pocola, Oklahoma. He is also survived by sisters, Aledda Marler of Panama, Oklahoma and Kay Kyle Drury of Poteau, Oklahoma. He is survived by sister-in-law, Sandy Black Kalil (Jim) of Kingwood, Texas. He has two grandchildren Jennifer Michele Villegas and Michael James DeBois, Sr. and four great grandchildren. Dixie has numerous nieces and nephews who love him very much. Dixie was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Lawanna Kyle, of Poteau, Oklahoma.

Visitation will be from 6pm to 8pm Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Regency Funeral Home. Services will be 2pm Thursday, December 29, 2022, officiated by Gene Fulcher of Fayetteville, Arkansas at Regency Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers are Harold Marable, Terry Martin, Joe White, David Armstrong, John Drury, Gary Loggains, Rick Davis, Shannon Dyer and Ryan Guillet.
