Wincell Don Belford, 79, of Malvern passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at his home. He was born August 27, 1942, in St. Louis, Missouri the son of the late Curtis Silas and Mary Loree Brewer Belford. He served in the Arkansas National Guard. Don attended First Assembly of God in Malvern and was a deacon for 17 plus years and then he moved to Poyen Assembly of God and found a church family he loved. He was a meat market manager for Safeway/Harvest Foods for over 33 years, where he received multiple awards as well as receiving the Governor's Volunteer Excellence Award presented by the governor, Bill Clinton. Don loved to deer hunt with his Green X Hunting Club members and fish whenever he got the chance with family and friends and also golf when he could. His greatest joy was attending any event his grandchildren were in.
Don is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley Ledbetter Belford; son, Keith Belford (Melanie) of Rogers, AR; daughters, Cherye Limoges (Clint) of St. Louis and Cindy Whitley of Malvern; brothers, Windell Belford (Carolyn) of Malvern and Scotty Belford (Nanette) of Hazen; grandchildren, Hunter Whitley (Paige), Derek Whitley, Sarah Whitley, Hannah Roscow (Joshua), Seth Limoges, Bryce Belford and Abby Belford and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be on Saturday, April 16 at 2:00pm at Regency Funeral Home with Reverend Jason Keisler officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Burial will be at Ouachita Cemetery but there will be no graveside service. Pallbearers will be Hunter Whitley, Derek Whitley, Seth Limoges, Bryce Belford, Curt Belford and Danny Boles. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Green X Hunting Club.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Ray Bollen and Elite Hospice.
