Donald Leroy Bergan, age 83, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2026. He was the son of Kenneth and Verna Winge Bergan.  Donald was born August 4, 1942, in Bismarck, North Dakota.  At eight years of age, Don moved with his family to Bismarck, Arkansas.  He graduated from Bismarck High School with the class of 1960.  Don attended Southern State University.  In 1965, Don moved to California where he met and married Rachel Rios on September 4, 1971.  While in California, Don worked as a chemist, later in factory maintenance, at one time owning and operating his own truck.  In recent years, Don enjoyed meeting people while driving for Uber after moving back to Hot Springs in 2011. He was a member of Third Baptist Church in Malvern and also served as President of the American Legion.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rachel; brothers, Dean Bergan and Duane "Curly" Bergan.

Survivors include his brothers, Darwin Bergan (Sue) of Bismarck, David Bergan (Virginia) of Haskell, and Dalton Bergan (Linda) of Kingsport, Tennessee; and sister, Delores "Dee" Edie of Malvern; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 11, at 2:00 PM at Regency Funeral Home.  Visitation will be from 1:00 - 2:00 prior to service.

Honorary Pallbearers are survivors of Bismarck Class of 1960, Charles Kelley, Charles Massey, Dr. Jim Hardage, and Gerald Harkrider.
