Douglas McDaniel, age 77, of Poyen, AR, formerly of Bismarck, passed away on October 21, 2023. Douglas was born in Hot Springs, AR on September 30, 1946, the son of Loyd and Hazel Burroughs McDaniel. In his younger years, Doug owned and operated a dozer and backhoe business. He enjoyed being with his family and grandkids, watching sports, going hunting and fishing, and spending time with his horses and cattle.

Douglas is preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl McDaniel, his parents, and brother Floyd "Tookie" McDaniel.

Left to cherish in his memory; children, Melissa Yancy (Jimmy) of Poyen, Diane Townley (Brock) of Poyen, Heath McDaniel (Tabitha) of South Carolina, and Karen Murphy; brothers, Charles Burch (Peggy) of Phoenix, AZ, Chris Burch of Hot Springs; sisters, Cathy Sanchez of Joplin, AR; grandchildren, Cameron and Logan Roseth, Seth, Trevor, Landon, and Alexis Yancy, Kaden and Audrey Townley, Karma and Deja Murphy, Riley and Taylor McDaniel; great-grandchild, Presley Robison and numerous nieces and nephews.
