Ernest L. Fite Jr., age 83, of Malvern, passed away on April 29, 2026 at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock.  He was born on September 16, 1942 to the late Ernest Fite Sr. and Ethelene Fite (Farrar).  He was a graduate of Malvern High School as well as an Air Force veteran and was a part of the Titan II Missile Command in Jacksonville, Arkansas.  He later began working at Acme Brick Company and was there for 34 years.

Ernest enjoyed working in his garden, raising animals, yard work, playing his APBA baseball game, and watching his beloved St. Louis Cardinals as well as the St. Louis Blues, and horse racing. He served as a member of the HSC Medical Center Auxiliary for many years.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Frances Brady Fite; his father, Ernest Fite Sr.; his mother and step-father, Ethelene and Fay Farrar; and sister, Janice Brown.

Survivors include his son, Darren W. Fite of Malvern; sisters, Robbie Rodger of El Dorado, California and Evelyn Evan of Santa Clara, California; numerous nieces and nephews; little helper, Jewel Balding; and best friend Loretta Fisher.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 1, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Regency Funeral Home.

Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, May 2, at 2:00 PM at Lono Cemetery.

Honorary Pallbearers will be his former co-workers at Acme Brick.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Association.
