Fred "Freddy" Butler, 76, of Glen Rose passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 10, 2024.  He was born October 19, 1948, in Malvern, the son of the late Fred Ollie and Eva Dee Battreal Butler.  Freddy was a 1967 graduate of Glen Rose High School and of the Seventh Day Adventist faith.  He worked for many years at General Cable/Pirelli Cable and retired from Windsor Door.  Freddy loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  He was an avid Arkansas Razorback fan, especially Razorback baseball.  Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Donna Sue Mills.

Left to cherish his memories are his sister, Linda Lake of Glen Rose; daughters, Dede Haynes (Randy) of Magnet Cove and Brandi Martin (Drew) of Magnet Cove; mother of his children, Rosemary Butler of Malvern; grandchildren, Carson Haynes, Jackson Haynes and Grace Martin all of Magnet Cove; nephews, Mike Lake (Lisa), Rodney Mills, Brian Mills (Amiee) and Stephen Lake and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.

Services will be held Sunday, November 17 at 2:00pm at Regency Funeral Home with Brother Bobby Goodknight officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.  Burial will follow at Fairplay Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Carson Haynes, Jackson Haynes, Mike Lake, Stephen Lake, Rodney Mills, Brian Mills, Hunter Lake, Trent Lake, Joseph Mills and Cole Lake.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Encore Nursing Home, CHI-St. Vincent ICU doctors and nurses and Arkansas Hospice for their loving care.
