Obituary


Gifford Worrell, age 86, of Donaldson, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2026. He was born February 19, 1940 in Bismark, to the late Carl and Mary E. (Williams) Worrell. He worked doing numerous trades over the years including logging, dairy, electrical maintenance with Reynolds Metals, Carpentry, and Arts and Crafts.

Gifford loved the Lord and was a member of Ouachita Missionary Baptist Church for many years and currently attended the Rockport Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing guitar and singing in Sunday church services and on Tuesdays at the Senior Adult Center, playing and singing gospel and country and western songs to the audience. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and cooking.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Randolph Worrell, one sister Judy Ann Walker and two loves of his life, Melba Sandage Worrell, and Freddie Crownover Worrell.

Survivors include his son, Tony Worrell (Pam); daughter; Donna Worrell of Arkadelphia; daughter, Sherry Bruns of Malvern; brother-in-law, Mike Walker of Donaldson; grandchildren, Justin Worrell (Jen) of Hot Springs, Kristin Rima of Hot Springs, Jake Bruns of Malvern; great grandchildren, Jett and Roman Worrell; nephew, Scott Collins (Lynn) of Malvern; great niece and nephews, Tosha Walker of Malvern, Zac Collins (Rachel), Tylor Collins, and Christian Collins (Haylee).

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday August 12, at 2:30 PM, at Regency Funeral Home with Pastor Brad Warren officiating. Visitation will be from 1:30 – 2:30 PM prior to service. Burial at Ouachita Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Bryan Loy, Mike Walker, Ken Whitley, Jim Crownover, Zac Collins, and Jesse Morrison.

Honorary Pallbearers are Frank Holmes and Marvin McDaniel.

Memorials may be made to Rockport Missionary Baptist Church.
