Glenda Jean Bailey, 92, of Malvern, Arkansas, entered into eternal peace on Wednesday the 28th of November at St. Vincent's Hospital in Little Rock.

Glenda was born on October 12, 1926, in Malvern, Arkansas. She was eldest of five daughters born to the late Gilbert and Eulah Rankin Bailey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Patsy Alexander, her nephew Troy Gately, her great nephews Bryson Alexander and Cole Gately, and her dogs Prissy and Bebe.

She leaves her memories to be cherished by her loving sisters, Martha Gately of Cabot, Shirley Bailey and Joan (Harold) Keeney of Malvern; her nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, great great nephew, her dog Molly and many relatives and friends.

Soon after graduating from Malvern High School Glenda moved to Little Rock and was employed for over 30 years with Southwestern Bell as a long distance operator. She also spent several years with AT&T until she retired in 1985. Glenda's career as a telephone operator gave her a lifelong love of communicating via the telephone!

Aunt Glenda brightened the lives of her nieces and nephew with her generosity and open door policy. She had a love of fashion, a lovely sense of style and an appreciation of beauty that she enjoyed sharing with her nieces.

Visitation for Glenda will be Saturday, December 1 at Regency Funeral Home, 1839 Pine Bluff Street, at 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Clear Creek Cemetery on Country Club Road.
