Glenn Leon Montgomery, 60, of Poyen, Arkansas, received his heavenly promotion on May 5, 2026, surrounded by the family he loved so deeply. Born on August 11, 1965, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, Glenn lived a life marked by unwavering faith, fierce love for his family, kindness to everyone he met, and a heart that never stopped giving.

Above all else, Glenn was a family man. He loved hard, hugged often, and never missed an opportunity to gather the people he loved close around him. In fact, before one family get-together was over, he was usually already planning the next one. His family was his greatest joy, and he made sure every single person around him knew they were loved, valued, and important.

He was the devoted husband of 23 years to the love of his life, Shirley Mae Montgomery, and a loving father to his pride and joy: Sherri and Sean Robertson, Sabrina and Jason Cogburn, Steven and Kathi Ledbetter, and his beloved "Babygirl," Mercadez Pratt and her husband Jacob.

Glenn was preceded in death by his father Leon Montgomery, his brother Randy Montgomery, and his Dad Carl Langle.

He leaves behind a family who adored him, including his momma Shirley Langle; his sister Linda Horton and brother-in-love Will Horton; other mother Becky Montgomery; sister Christy Olivella and her husband Michael; Big Bonus Brother Lester Webb; and bonus momma Alice Buie.

He was one proud and happy grandpa to Lee, Lane, Colin, Conner, Michael, Bethany, Julie, and Gabriel. But perhaps one of his favorite titles of all was "Popo" to Josiah, Judah, Brantley, Asher, Ember, Lyric, Phoenix, Xaiver, and Xylah - a role he carried with endless pride, joy, hugs, and probably a little playful teasing.

A proud patriot, Glenn enlisted in the United States Army in 1983 and continued to carry the values of service, honor, and loyalty throughout his life. Following his military service, he began a lifelong career with his work family at Arauco, where many knew him affectionately as "Sarge."

Under the loving guidance of his Grandpa Montgomery, Glenn became a skilled gardener with a gift for growing not only beautiful gardens, but community. He delighted in sharing the bounty of every harvest with friends, neighbors, and family. He was also an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing, and his many nieces and nephews could tell countless funny and unforgettable stories about Uncle Glenn and adventures at Caddy Deer Camp.

Glenn never met a stranger. He was a serial hugger, an enthusiastic compliment giver, and someone who constantly built up the people around him. His kindness, encouragement, playful teasing, and quick wit left a lasting impression everywhere he went. He had a sensitive and compassionate spirit, always listening for God's prompting and never hesitating to minister to someone in need. His faith in Jesus Christ guided every step of his life, and he loved his church family dearly at Poyen Assembly of God Church.

Though his family's hearts are broken by his absence, they rejoice knowing Glenn is whole, healed, and home with the Lord he faithfully served.

Those wishing to honor Glenn's life and legacy are invited to attend visitation services at Regency Funeral Home in Malvern on Friday, May 8, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Poyen Assembly of God Church on Saturday, May 9, at 10:00 a.m.

To know Glenn was to be loved by him - and that love will continue to live on in every life he touched.
