Mr. Glenn Anderson Smith, age 72, of Donaldson, AR passed peacefully from this Earth on Saturday at 8:52 pm on July 5, 2025 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Hot Springs, AR. He was born May 28, 1953 in Jerseyville, IL. He was the son of the late James "Dude" and Charlene Smith.

Glenn is preceded in death by two grandsons, Donnie Michael Dalton and Samuel Lee Vinyard, and two nephews, Max J. Morgan and Michael Page who are all waiting to greet him with open arms into his heavenly home.

Glenn is survived by his devoted wife of 28 years, Linda Ann Smith, whom he loved with all of his heart. Glenn was asked once during his stay in the hospital what his main objective would be while there, and his response was to get better so that he could return home and take care of his wife. Glenn is also survived by two daughters, Misty Smith (Jason) of Galatia, IL and April Burris (David) of Arkadelphia, AR. Glenn was the oldest of five siblings and is survived by one brother, Rev. Dewayne L. Smith (Rhonda) of Friendship, AR and three sisters, Virginia Babb of Conway, AR, Diana Bone (Charlie) of Corinth, MS, and Melissa McKim of Hot Springs, AR.

Glenn leaves behind 5 grandchildren, Jasmine Vinyard, Jack Vinyard, Matt Vinyard, Paris Stroud and Brett Boyette, 7 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Glenn was of the Christian faith and his journey on this Earth was one marked by love, compassion and his unwavering faith in God. Everyone that knew Glenn, or had the privilege of spending time with him, were lifted up by the warm chuckles and kindness that he radiated. In the last 30 years of his life, he owned and operated a small engine repair shop, Smith's Small Engine Repair, in Donaldson, AR. His true passion, however, was working in the woods alongside his father and brother as owner/operator of a logging company for 15+ years.

Graveside service with Brother Dewayne L. Smith officiating will be held at Gilchrist Cemetery in Friendship, AR on Saturday, July 12th at 9:00 am.

Pallbearers are David Burris, Jason Vinyard, Jack Vinyard, Matt Vinyard, Paris Stroud, and Brett Boyette. Honorary pallbearers are Brandon Smith, Jason McKim, Landon McKim, Joshua Morgan, Charlie Bone, Richard Page, Cody Babb and Hunter Babb.
