Harlen Fay Crites, age 96, of Malvern, AR, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025 in his home. He was born on April 15, 1928 in Hattieville, AR, the son of John Richard and Ada Duvall Crites. He was the owner of Crites Tree Service from 1969-1990 and was a member of the Liberty Chapel Church. He also served in the United States Army. Harlen enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, camping, traveling, listening to Southern Gospel music, reading, working on lawn mowers, and cutting firewood with grandson Jason.

Harlen is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Brandon Crites; brothers, Roy, Troy, Samuel, Carl, Robert, and J.H. Crites; sisters, Johnnie Burns, Betty Shelton, and Mary Ann Neighbors.

Left to cherish his memory, loving wife of 57 years, Glenda Hilborn Crites; daughter, Marla Erick of Malvern, AR; sons, Dale Crites (Pris) of Mulhall, OK, Barry Crites (Lori) of Little Rock, AR, Willard Tackett (Brandi) of Malvern, AR, and bonus son, Rick Blair; sister in-law, Ruth Ann Crites; 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 19th from 12-1pm at Liberty Chapel Church, with the service following at 1pm, with Bro. Jerry Garrett officiating and Jake Tackett reading the obituary.
