Harold Ronnie Collie, age 77, of Malvern, was relieved of his earthly pain and grief, December 9, 2024. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and his beloved wife of 56 years, Barbara Mays Collie, who predeceased him by six months.

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his children. Psalm 116:15

Ronnie loved spending time with his family, checking on his friends, worshiping the Lord, and going to church. He made sure he taught those he loved about the Lord and that they knew everything they needed could be found through earnest prayer, praying for wisdom, and searching the Scriptures. He delighted in his daughter and grandchildren, in who they were as individuals and all they had accomplished.

He was a deacon at Mt. Zion Baptist Church for over 40 years, a retired barber, and a retired meat cutter for Safeway and Harvest Foods stores.

He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara, parents, Harold and Jeanette Collie, brother, Gary Collie, and best friend, Carl Hodges.

Blessed to cherish sweet memories of him are daughter, Cheryl Thornton, five grandchildren, Sydney Thornton of Peoria, IL, Chloe Thornton of Kansas City, MO, Caleb Thornton of Indianapolis, IN, Shelby Thornton of Jonesboro, and Noah Thornton of Fayetteville, niece Stephanie Collie (Darrell Boles), nephew, Brian (Melissa) Collie, great nephews Matthew and Lucas.

A private memorial service was held.
