Helen Marie (Nutt) Carpenter, 76, of Walnut Grove, Missouri went home to the Lord Sunday September 8, 2024 with her son and daughter at her side.  Helen was born October 24, 1947 in Malvern, Arkansas and was the daughter of William "Duffie" Nutt and Vivian Ilene (Riggan) Nutt.  She lived in Malvern until she was married to her husband Richard.

Helen and Richard were married in 1967 and moved to Arizona for work.  In their early years of marriage, Helen spent her time as a loving stay-at-home mom to her two children Sandra ("Sandie") and Robert ("Bobby").  Richard retired in 1995 and he and Helen moved to Walnut Grove to be closer to family.  Helen loved being outdoors and spending time in her garden.  Years after Richard's passing in 1999, she met her second love Robert Mayfield.

Immediate relations preceding Helen in death are her husband, her parents, and her sister Hazel Lucille "Lucy" (Nutt) Boyd.  Left to cherish her memory are her significant other Robert Mayfield, daughter Sandra Michaelson (Christopher), son Robert (Trina), her grandchildren: Jacob and Zachary Carpenter, Vaeda and Aiden Michaelson, her siblings: Eugene Nutt (Bridget), Faye Canada, Vivian Lackey (Tommy), Betty Gregory, Huell Nutt (Lameda), Everett Nutt, Morris Nutt (Sharon), Herman Nutt (Marilyn), Johnny Nutt (Carolyn Turner), and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Regency Funeral Home in Malvern, Arkansas on Friday Sept. 20, 24 from 6-8 pm.  Services will be held at Damascus Missionary Baptist Church in Malvern Saturday Sept. 21, 24 at 10:00 am.  Burial will be in Damascus Cemetery
