Henry Walton Walker, age 78 of Malvern passed away on December 2, 2023. He was born November 10, 1945, in Little Rock, the son of Isaac Aaron and Mary Jo Martin Walker. The family soon returned to Malvern. Henry was better known as "PeeWee" Walker by his family and school friends.
He met his wife Twila Edwards Walker in 1968. Together, in those early years they enjoyed fishing, horse shows and Carlisle drag racing. They had been married for 52 years. They also attended Seventh Day Adventist Church in Hot Springs, AR.
Henry was employed with Otasco for several years. He joined the Benton Carpenters Union and carpentry became his trade. He attended UALR night school and became certified in commercial concrete compaction. He retired from Little Rock Commercial Contracting Company, Baldwin and Shell as a concrete foreman.
Henry was a dedicated deer hunter, hunting in Dalark for 60 years, also was an avid bass fisherman in the Malvern Bass Club over 20 years. To his bass fishing friends he was nicknamed "Friendly Henry" most often called "Friendly".
Other than his parents, Henry is preceded in death by his only sibling, Isaac Aaron "Sonny" Walker, Jr.
To cherish his memory are his wife, Twila Walker, Son Clay Walker, nephews Carl Walker (Shannon), his son Chase Walker, and Andy Edwards, sister-in-law, Phyllis Walker, all of Malvern, Brother-in-law, Ralph Edwards (Donna) of White Hall
Visitation will be Wednesday December 6, 2023, from 6-8PM at Regency.
Graveside services will be Thursday December 7, at 11AM at Cooper Cemetery with Pastors Richard Hall and Ron Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Cooper Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Carl Walker, Chase Walker, Clay Walker, Jim Dyer, Dustin Harrison, and Don Paul Haney. Honorary pallbearers are his helpful Colorado neighbors: Stan, Frank, Patrick, Ken, Jerry, Don, Gary, Dean, Richard, and Lawrence.
