Herman (HL) Hixon, age 89, of Leola, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2026. He was born December 31, 1936.  He was a builder by trade and built many houses over the years.  He loved to fishing and hunting and was a member of Hixon Hunting Club.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Allen James Hixon Sr. and Ollie John (Ross) Hixon; sisters, Mary Katherine Hixon and Sue McDade; and brother, John "Bob" R. Hixon.

Survivors include his children, Kathy Harding (Mike) and Kevin Hixon (Kelly); grandchildren, Jake Hixon (Katie), Sam Harding (Hailey), Tim Harding, Joseph Hixon (Jammela), and Jessi Craig (Nick); great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Ezra, Leo, Haydn, and two on the way; brother, A. J. Hixon; several nieces and nephews; and his special partner in life, Glenda Treadaway.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 11, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at Regency Funeral Home.

Graveside Service will be held Thursday, February 12, at 10:00 AM at Lono Cemetery with Bro. Alex Skinner officiating.

Honorary Pallbearers are Britt Wright, Larry White, Tyler Scott, Perry Scott, Denver Hixon, Shane Hixon, Michael Robinson, and Scott Wright.
