Houston Hathcock age 86, of Malvern, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2024. He was born October 24, 1937 to Hudy Zelman and Rosa Iona Masters Hathcock. Houston was a retired chemist with Alcoa in Benton. He was a member of Damascus Missionary Baptist Church where he served as Sunday School teacher and superintendent.

Houston enjoyed gardening and yard work. He was on the Damascus Cemetery Board for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Bernis Hathcock and John Hathcock; and one sister, Becky Ashley.

Survivors are his wife of sixty-six years, Lovie Nix Hathcock; two sons, Buddy (Paulette) Hathcock of Malvern and Todd Hathcock of Conroe, Texas; one daughter, Connie (Louis) Landreth of Benton; three sisters, Diane Freeman of Malvern, Imogene Weaver of Olla, Louisiana and Kay Schulle of Malvern; five grandchildren, Laura (Jeremy) Postlethwait, Megan (Riley) Chadwick, Leslie (Corey) Tedder, Leif Landreth and Seth (Sydney) Hathcock; two step-grandchildren, Brandon (Mandy) Green and Brittani (Jeremy) Brooks; twenty great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 10AM until 11AM Friday, January 19th at Regency Funeral Home.

Services will follow at 11:00 AM with Bro. James Pierce and Bro. Rickey Poyner officiating. Burial will be in Damascus Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Seth Hathcock, Scott Hathcock, Leif Landreth, Dennis Hathcock, John Michael Hathcock and Mark Hathcock.

Honorary pallbearers are Brandon Green and Robert Goodman.

Memorials may be made to Damascus Cemetery Fund.
