Jackie Cansler, age 86, of New DeRoche, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Chi St.  Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs.  Jackie was born on June 22, 1938 in Brawley, California and was the son of Jack and Minnie Cansler.  Jackie was retired from Pirelli Cable.  He was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School for 56 years and was a deacon for 69 years.  Jackie loved spending time with his family.  He enjoyed farming, gardening, yard work, playing his mandolin and singing.  Jackie was a member of the Cansler Brothers Bluegrass Gospel Band, which he enjoyed so much.

Jackie is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Pat Marbury, Barbara Prince, Gary Cansler, Kenny Cansler, Larry Cansler and Bob Cansler.

Left to cherish his memory is, wife of 63 years, Delories Cansler; daughter Maleia Hinds (Brian) of New DeRoche, David Cansler of New DeRoche, Dewayne Cansler (Jennifer) of Benton.  Grandchildren; Sarah Bandy (Casey), Madison West (Jacob), Makenzie Hinds, Mason Cansler (Savannah).  Great Grandchildren; Addie Bandy and Parker West and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 28th from 10:00-11:00am at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, with the funeral service starting at 11:00am, with Bro. Darryle Sulton and Bro. Alan Cansler officiating.  Burial to follow at Prairie Bayou Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Mike Cansler, Daniel Cansler, Russell Hinds, Mason Cansler, Casey Bandy, Jacob West, Weldon Prince and Jarrod Cansler.  Graveside service will be given by Jarrod Cansler.
