James C. "Jack" Eason, age 91, of Hot Springs passed away on November 27, 2021. He was born January 21, 1930, in Hot Spring County to Calvin and Ura Majors Eason. Jack graduated from Malvern High School in 1949. He served in the United States Army. Jack was the owner of Eason Construction Company of Albion, Illinois, general contractor for new concrete grain elevators throughout the United States. After retiring he built a 37' sailboat named "Noah's Ark" christened on Kentucky Lake. A few years later, he and his wife, Lyndal traveled from Kentucky Lake to Mobile Bay and the Intracoastal Waterway. Living in Florida, they enjoyed sailing on open water. After returning to Arkansas they continued to travel throughout the United States and abroad.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Charles Eason; sisters, Wanda Clauss, Mary Cochran and Lucile Lawrence.
Survivors, wife, Lyndal Cook Eason; sisters, Ruby Carlisle and Marcile Mannan; stepsons, Mike Cook (Amy), Larry Cook (Jackie) and Steve Cook (Alison) and several step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 4 from 5:00-7:00pm at Regency Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to St Jude's Children Hospital, Leau Fraiz Cemetery, or a charity of your choice.
