James "Butch" Little, also known as Butchie, age 82, of Idabel, Oklahoma passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was born June 14, 1940, in Tulsa, Oklahoma the son of the late Joe and Ellen Little. Butch worked 37 years in the paper industry. He started his paper career in Morrilton, Arkansas working for Green Bay Packaging, then transferred to Valliant, Oklahoma with Weyerhaeuser, where he retired. He enjoyed playing golf, hunting, fishing, and photography. He was a long-time member of the Smead Deer Camp in Holly Springs, Arkansas. He looked forward to the fall when he could spend time with family and friends at deer camp. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife of nearly 60 years, Donna Fite Little; brother, Marion Little and sister, Sue Kramer.

Survivors include his children, Dr. Brookes Little (Randy Cantrell) of Idabel, OK and Ethan Little (Gerrye Sue Little) of Hot Springs; grandchildren, Shelby Little and Hunter Little of Hot Springs, Lucas Cantrell of Idabel, OK and Tara Cantrell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Services will be held Wednesday, April 26 at 1:00pm at Regency Funeral Home with Brother Kevin Charton and Brother Don Allen Parsons officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Cypress Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be the Smead Deer Camp members.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Idabel Public Library, 103 East Main, Idabel, Oklahoma, 74745.
