James O. Vines, 71, of Poyen formerly of Bradley County, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at his home.  He was born January 24, 1952, in Springhill, Louisiana the son of the late James Donald and Ruby May Vines.  James served in the Army National Guard.  He enjoyed fishing, raising chickens and was a soul winner for the Lord. James was a member of Poyen Assembly of God Church.

Survivors, wife of 50 years, Liz Vines of Poyen; son, Matt Vines (Gina) of Tampa, Florida; daughters, Rhonda Terry of Haskell and Tonya Sanders of Magnet Cove; sister, Diann Furman (Clyde) of White Hall; four grandchildren, Arial, Clint, Logan and Aubrey; one niece and one nephew.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 10 at 2:00pm at Poyen Assembly of God Church with Brother Jason Keisler and Brother Eddie Smith officiating.
