James "Luke" Wells, age 57, of Malvern passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.  He was born on December 28, 1963, in Helena, AR the son of the late Henry H. Wells and Della J Lingelbach Stanley.  James was a retired truck driver of 34 years.  He loved to play games, draw houses and do puzzles.  James was loved dearly by his family and friends. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his nephew, Jeffery A. Sampson and grandparents

Survivors, wife, whom he married on May 24, 1997, Hattie Collins Wells of Malvern; son, Dallas J. Wells; daughter, Danielle G. Wells; Briana Edwards, who was like his daughter; son-in-law, Scottie McKellar; sister, Pamela Sampson (Rusty) of Damascus; grandchild, Jazzlyn A. Wells; niece, Amanda Sampson
