Jan
Keith
Jun 14, 1944 — Apr 6, 2023
Malvern
Janice (Jan) Keith's faith became sight April 6, 2023. She had battled Alzheimer's for several years but now is whole and healed with her Savior Jesus. Jan was a precious wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who personified I Corinthians 13 - she loved well and hard, was patient and kind, and always assumed the best of others. Her life truly taught anyone she encountered how to be more like Jesus.
Jan was multi-talented and spent many years with the Malvern Public Schools as a secretary on the elementary and middle school levels. She was "Ms. Jan" to multiple students and teachers. She also was a talented musician who used her gifts as a pianist and later organist in many different ways both at her church and in her community. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Malvern and served there many, many years. Her greatest achievement, however, was as "Mom", "Jan", and "Gram". Family members knew full well how loved they were in the precious moments they spent together with her throughout the years.
Jan was preceded in death by her parents - Vestil and Cleo Lawson
Jan is survived by her loving husband of almost 59 years Bill; Her children - Kellye Albey (Mark), Karen Robinson (Mark), and Kent Keith (Angie); brother, Conrad Lawson of Houston, Texas; her grandchildren - Lauren Vavra (Brian), Lawson Albey (Shay), Reid Robinson, Lane Ross Albey (Alyson), Rhett Robinson (Juli), Rose Robinson, and Kate and Harper Keith; great grandchildren - Vivian and Paxton Vavra and Greer and Pearl Albey; great aunt, Reta Lewis of Searcy and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Services will be held Tuesday, April 11 at 2:00pm at Second Baptist Church in Malvern with Brother Terry Parrish and Brother Lawson Albey officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Rockport Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Mark Robinson, Mark Albey, Reid Robinson, Rhett Robinson, Lane Ross Albey and Brian Vavra. Honorary pallbearers will be Cliff Crawford, Bobby Gilbert and Terry Whitley.
Jan's family want to say a special word of thanks to Pleasant Hill Care Home and Hospice Homecare. Her caregivers loved her well and there were a few extra special ones - Tiffany, Trinity, and Linda.
