Janet Anne Tugwell, age 86 of Malvern, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025, in her home. She was born on August 13, 1938 in Texarkana, AR, the daughter of Arthur St. Clair and Faye Scurlock James Jr. Janet was a member of Third Baptist Church where she taught Awanas and attended the Sunshine Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Junior Service League and headed up the Easter Seals Campaign for Hot Spring County. Janet loved to crochet and paint, and loved spending time with her grandkids.

Janet is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 58 years Thomas (Tommy) Tugwell; brothers, Hebert James and Lamar James; and son in-law, Bill Glover.

Left to cherish her memory, daughters, Becky Jones (Eldon) and Fay Glover; adopted daughters, Trenda James (Kerry) and Debra Shepherd (Marshall Spears); sister, Carolyn Cooper of Malvern; grandchildren, Chad Burrow (Johanna), Brad Burrow (Madeline), and Riley Jones; great- grandchildren, Konner Branch, Kiley Wise (Jase), and Laikynn Burrow and Ryan Burrow; along with a great-great grandbaby due in July; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 31st from 1-2pm at Regency Funeral Home, with the service following at 2pm with Rev. Nancy Scott officiating. Burial to follow at Shadowlawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Jase, Chad, Konner, Brad, Riley and Micheal.

Honorary pallbearers are current and past members and spouses of the Sunshine Sunday School Class.
