Jason "Jake" Sparks, 46, of California passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023. He was born August 13, 1976, in Ottumwa, Iowa the son of John Sparks and Marlana Hammond. Jason was very artistic, he loved to read, draw, paint and listen to music. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Max Hammond, Bill Sparks and Bea Nicoletto and his sister, Emily Orman.

Survivors, father, John Sparks (Niki) of Oskaloosa, Iowa; mother, Marlana Capps of Hot Springs; grandmother, Joan Hammond of Hot Springs; brothers, Billy Sparks (Mellisa) of Malvern and Isaac Sparks of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sisters, Amanda Hulen (Adam) of Oskaloosa, Iowa and Katie Orman of Oskaloosa, Iowa; nieces and nephews, Bradley, Hunter, Will, Alayna, Jaxon, Dritan and Ja'sai; great nieces, Glenda Sue and Everly; and a host of aunts, uncle, cousins and friends. .

A memorial service will be held Friday, May 26 at 2:00pm at Regency Funeral Home. A visitation will be held after the service. Honorary pallbearers will be Earth Roberts, Gary Cox and Randy Ross.
