Jaycee Faye Taylor of Hot Springs, just a few days shy of her 22nd birthday, died on Saturday, November 16th, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident, which occurred on Friday, November 15th, 2024, in Benton, AR.  She was born on November 24th, 2002, in Daytona, Florida.  Jaycee was currently a first-year nursing student in the Fast Track RN Program at National Park College and had just finished her first week working as a Patient Care Tech in the emergency room at National Park Hospital.

Jaycee is preceded in death by her grandparents, "Papa" Ricky Taylor and Blaine & Wanda Potter.  She leaves to cherish her memories,  parents, Brad (Becca) Taylor of Salado, Texas and Dovee Taylor of Mabank, TX; two sisters, Rylee Isom (Jacob) of Princeton, TX; Kenadee Rust (fiancé Landen Ibarra) of Fort Worth, TX; and a brother, Conner Taylor of Georgetown, TX; bonus siblings, Payton Cate, Connor Deimel, Wiliam Lambertus, Chloe Lambertus, and Vaden Leamons;  a nephew, Drake Isom of Princeton, TX; lifelong friend and soulmate, Raegan Sumrow of Greenville, TX; grandparents Faye (Jack) Williams of Malvern; her dog and best buddy, Rustee; too many aunts, uncles, cousins to mention; and a vast host of friends.

Jaycee lived life to the fullest and was living her best life when it tragically ended.  She had finished her first year of college making the Dean's List both semesters; started nursing school and a new job at a hospital; had gotten to go sky diving in Florida this past summer (something she had longed to do for years); had developed a close relationship with her siblings and was looking forward to future get-togethers with them.

Jaycee loved animals and had showed cattle at the county fair; loved shopping, kids (especially the ones she nannied for), taking long naps, and being around people.  Lots of people.  She loved family get-togethers and always made the effort to attend whatever family event was happening.  She especially loved her Nana and the breakfast meals she made for her. They had a special bond from the day she was born.  She was a little fireball at times but her smile, beauty and acts of kindness made you forget about the not so pleasant times. She loved to act silly and kept you in stitches with her antics. She loved fresh flowers, bright colors, and would be honored to see attendees wearing happy colors.

Jaycee was a Baptist, had accepted Jesus into her heart as her Lord and Savior, and was baptized on July 31, 2016 at The Church in Royse City, TX.  On the day of her accident, she had just witnessed that morning, rather heatedly, to two non-believer nursing students about God.  Jaycee was a giver and gave of herself often, but her last and most selfless gift was the gift of her organs, with her heart, liver and kidneys already scheduled to help save the lives of others.

A Celebration of Life, led by Bro. Jason Hathcock, a friend she highly respected, will be held at 10:00am at Regency Funeral Home in Malvern on Wednesday, November 20th, and attended by the Arkansas Nurses Honor Guard, honoring Jaycee.  Visitation will be prior to the services from 9:00-10:00.  Immediately following the service family and friends are invited to share a meal at Family Farm in Glen Rose, (18448 Hwy 67) at noon.  There will be no graveside service.

Honorary pallbearers are cousins: Wyatt, Ethan, Ryan, Logan and Dalton Taylor, and Jace & James Cheatham; and the students in the nursing program at National Park College.

The family would like to give special thanks to both Saline Memorial and UAMS Hospital's emergency room and intensive care medical staff for their compassion and empathy during Jaycee's brief time there, where they treated her and our family with the utmost dignity and respect. Also, to ARORA, Arkansas Regional Organ Recovery Agency.
